A's threaten to move to Vegas

Honestly, Oakland doesn't really warrant a team... It's now lost the Raiders (again) to Vegas, the Warriors to SF (same market).
Sometimes towns are no longer major sports towns and the city of Oakland has been exceptionally difficult to deal , historically, with for all it's franchises/

It's probably time for them to relocate anyway

Yeah, I support that move. And I'd def be taking a trip to Vegas when the Mets are out there (which I guess is only once every six years, but still).

Will they actually spend money if they move to a new ballpark?

if I’m MLB I’m not letting them move without a commitment to spend. I’d rather them sell the team

The Warriors became the 3rd most valuable NBA team in Oakland, the Raiders have one of the largest fan bases in the NFL and the A’s had really good attendance until Al Davis ruined the coliseum. The support is there, the owners and poor urban planning have fucked everything up. The fanbases don’t deserve relocation just like the Supersonics fans didn’t, especially to a barren wasteland like Vegas (no offense MJB ? )

They've been trying to get a new stadium for about 15 years now. Vegas already has the NHL and soon the NFL, just get it over and done with and move there. Build a nice retractable roof stadium near the strip and draw in 30,000 people a game.

I'm guessing the use of Vegas was mostly to emphasize the importance of the situation, since the Raiders are en route to Las Vegas.

I doubt the A's would have any kind of deal with Vegas lined up, because the reason Vegas is a likely expansion candidate is because there's like a dozen casino empires who could build a MLB stadium themselves without the bureaucracy of local governments that takes decades to get something done. But what casino is going to build a MLB stadium for a team they DON'T OWN?
